A few things I have "Qualm's" about

One of the biggest things I have a quam about is ... VPS/VDS vendors... ie Virtual Private Server Vendors.

So why do I have Qualms with you guys?
- Your Lazy ... Really does it take a week to get back to me about a ticket?

- You tend to blame people like Data Centers for problems... Grow up, We know your service is shitty if it takes 10 minutes to do yum install Psmisc.

- For you vendors that still support Debian 3.1... Please update your iso's and retire it we are on 5.0.1 ie Lenny folks! To all VPS Vendors who distribute Debian would you atleast give us the common courtesy of updating the box before the user logs in.

- For all you vendors that leave stock OpenSSL on debian 4 & 5 Boxes, and dont bother to warn your potential customers that there is an exploit that goes along with SSH to make it breakable... Please go find the nearest tall blunt object that preferably is large then 10 feet tall and feel free to jump at it so it impales you, you asshole fucks. Atleast throw out a notice that states you are as imcompetent as possible so we know our shit isnt protected.

- You never resolve support tickets -

Two tickets you fuckers seem to not to be able to resolve:

We have had a problem with partitions becoming RO ( Read Only) locked... esp on / - No Vps vendor to date has been able to resolve this problem.

We have a problem where scp wont send stuff it'll just die out... Best Response we get is to "reinstall ssh" - Fuck you, you chicken shit mother fuckers! If we do a real "Reinstall" that will nuke our connection and we'll have to wait a week on you fucks to get back to us - or we will have to dick around with hypervm and wipe the box. If you fuckers haven't changed the link or messed up the hypervm DB so the password is incorrect.

- You oversell your boxes... This comment goes directly to company's like Shinjiru and other headache vendors. Let me tell you what we really think of you vendors that oversell... Refund my money and ill go get 2 boxes for the price of your one shitty box. I mean FFS(For fuck Sakes) your telling me that you cant buy another box for the price you sell your shit for. Folks its bad when you have to wait for yum and apt to respond after 5 seconds @ Shinjiru in particular i've spent a whole afternoon "Fixing" yum because they fuck it up so royally. I mean should Wget take 10 minutes to pick up a 200K file. FUCK NO!

- You consistantly cry about bulk mail... Cry harder if i can justify my mail as legit quit crying to us with "Spam Complaints" or "Abuse" tickets. If one isnt spam the rest arent spam moron. This goes for VPSlink AKA Spry and a few others. Something I love to see " Your VPS was suspended due to due a suspicious amount of outbound mail traffic. " Cry harder, why don't you actually read the mail. So fucking what if we are using bandwidth! That's what were fucking paying for jerkholes!

- You are using too much bandwidth... Guess what fuckers and I re-iterate this, Im paying for xxxGB's of Bandwidth - I expect to get my money's worth, and fuck you ass hats who charge for bandwidth overages.

- Play fair... This points directly to people like ZZsevers and yes Peter im calling you out - Quit being a bitch, and charge fair prices for upgrades if you ask a client to upgrade there boxes. Im sure you even oversell considering all the "Wonderful" Issues we've had with you.

- Invoices... Wtf - Why the hell would you send a invoice out when some one has a subscription with your service already? What do you get? Double billing and 70% of you fucking VPS vendors out there never say a god damn word. The great people at Orion Hosting, mainly Henri Cook have been awesome with realizing double billing.

- Usage of WHMCS - Im sorry to hurt your feelings, but learn how to use the software for other things besides letting me see 200$ worth of credit on my account because you fucks cant do your accounting correctly. Why dont you put the link to your Hypervm and our user name and password informaiton in there.

- HyperVM:

-To those who use it: Quit fucking changing your private and public links every week. This is annoying as hell! Quit fucking not paying attention to tickets in the ticket area. List atleast 3 different builds of one OS - Shit why not develope a Standard amongst yourselves.

-To those of you who dont use it: FUCKING START USING IT! Fuck webmin, fuck Cpanel, hell even fuck directadmin - 9 times out of 10 a admin could give a shit less about this crap & you make use choose what we want.

- Cpanel:

Oh Cpanel how can I even start with you... Essentially i've seen people charge 5$ to almost 20$ for you and i've yet to see you worth a nickel. Quite possibly the most ugliest and redundant feature set. Let me tell you we actually had a script called "Cpanel Assassin" that would rid our boxes of your virus like ways. I mean who would write a piece of trash like that and expect to get more then a dollar a license. Fucking make that shit better or get the fuck out of the way christ it looks more like windows for linux then a control panel .. stupid fucking wanna be windows tards.

- Webmin:

Webmin, you are awesome for me to use on my home network, but honestly as a management enviroment you lack alot. Usermin isnt much better and with its limited feature set I dont find you mature enough. I'll be pretty respective about this because this just isnt there market to be playing in. Some stupid fucking twit in a forum probably mentioned how he would want webmin on a vps... forgetting he could install it himself - What a dim wit, and the vendors who followed that schmuck there even more stupider then him.

- DirectAdmin:

Hahaha you fuck offs it was easy to find your file, rename you and then de-activate you. What a piece of trash atleast give me a challenge of being atleast as virillant as Cpanel. Your UI is great, and pretty simple - Just make yourself a normal service, or a normal Daemon. Lets face it you are a free alternative that is decent stay that way, and quit trying to by a Cpanel copycat schmuck!

Please note that these observations only mark my opinion of the current VPS feild vs anything that my organization represents. So in english : What I say are my own opinions and they are probably not shared by my employers so dont pester them.
